This is a large hardcover book with beautiful paintings of family life. Follow Sam and his parents as they get ready for Christmas. There is a sparkle box on the mantle in the living room. Sam wonders about it. As the days lead up to Christmas, the family donates to the less fortunate. Each of these sacrificial deeds is written on a piece of paper and placed in the sparkle box. These are the Christmas gifts for Jesus. The sparkle is a symbol of the light of the world.
This sweet story will delight children and encourage them to want their own sparkle box, which comes with the book! This may very well help start an amazing tradition in many homes!

Every Christmas we get two names from the Salvation Army angel tree. We have two children, so we want to give two children a great Christmas. This year my son is finally old enough to help buy the gifts for the underprivileged child.

When we were younger (I have 6 younger siblings) we would come home from Late Christmas Eve mass and make a fresh batch of cookies for "Santa". Each one of us have brought this to our own families.

As we are transplants we blended our 'Ol' traditions with new ones, each very precious to us. Like everyone else we have cut back on our celebrations due to the economy (or lack of) but there are little treasures we share each year with friends and loved ones. The first is an extra plate on the table for Christmas dinner...ANYONE stopping by, is thus able to part of the bounty with us (yes, even a stranger!). The second is a special ornament, a nail hidden in the tree...A reminder of SPECIAL GIFTS!
Thank you for the opportunity to enter this lovely giveaway Mrs. White! I hear it is a very special story!
Blessings to you and yours,
My family tradition is our annual Christmas Eve family party. We all participate in a gift exchange, eat and then go home for Santa!
Another favorite is all of the "giving back" we do around Christmas. My family volunteers by ringing the bell for salvation army, caroling at nursing homes, participating in Angel tree gifts and also helping out as shelters and making food for homeless.
We select names from our tree of sharing at church each year and pick out Christmas presents for them.
